5 TV Shows We Are Excited For In 2021

Movie theaters around the country are still shut down with no reopening in sight. Some of our favorite shows have even been delayed; seasons split up and even finished through animation over in-person acting. Despite all of this, we can and have been binge-watching TV bundles more than ever before. Many TV fanatics and movie buffs feel like they’re running out of things to watch, but luckily 2021 is right around the corner with some awesome new shows to watch! There’s a ton of new shows coming to both traditional cable TV-like DISH TV, Xfinity, and Verizon, as well as streaming plans, but these are our top 5 shows we are the most excited for coming up in 2021.

  1. The Mandalorian: Season 3

Airing on Disney+

Date: Winter 2021

Even though WandaVision, Loki and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier have piqued our interest; the Mandalorian is probably the most hyped up show coming to Disney+ in 2021. If you’re a Star Wars fan, you already know the movies have gone majorly out of order. The Disney+ original The Mandalorian takes place 5 years after Return of the Jedi and 29 years before Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In this series without giving too much away, it follows the travels of a bounty hunter and features the social media sensation baby Yoda.

  1. Hell’s Kitchen: Season 19

Airing on FOX

Date: January 7, 2021

Watch Chef Gordon Ramsay put 16 contestants to the ultimate test in Chef Ramsay’s new Hell’s Kitchen restaurant at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. These aspiring chefs will be assigned teams and ultimately go head to head through a series of challenges and dinner services. The contestant who comes out on top will get head chef at his restaurant in Lake Tahoe and $250,000!

  1. Black-Ish: Season 7

Airing on ABC

Date: January 26, 2021

Black-Ish is starting back this January with 6 additional episodes added onto season 7! There is a potential for episodes either within season 7 or possibly unannounced season 8. The show features a black family raising their kids the very best way they can while instilling a strong sense of cultural identity and respect for black history. The show will continue to address issues that black Americans face every day and upcoming episodes will dive into current events such as the global pandemic, systemic racism, and the movement for social justice and equality.

  1. Ozark: Season 4

Airing on Netflix

Date: Winter 2021

Ozark has been renewed for its fourth and final season. Dominating the Netflix charts for season 3, we’re excited to see how it all comes together for the finale. After last season ended with a literal bang, we expect to hold onto our seats for increasing tension and even bigger problems on the horizon for the Byrde family. Will the Byrdes survive or finally succumb to a money launderers’ ultimate fate?

  1. NCIS: Season 18

Airing on CBS

Agent Gibbs is back at it again with NCIS season 18! This long-running show follows Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs as he leads his team investigating major crimes that have Navy or Marine Corp ties with Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Spoiler alert: A major charter we all knew and loved will be returning this season!
